Todd Anthony

Holding a unique combination of academic and industry practices, my career started as a Costume Designer and Production Manager across the U.S.A, Europe, Asia and Africa for Jean Anne Ryan Productions and Silver Sea Cruises. 

 

On moving to Sydney, I started contributing to numerous publications in Australia as a fashion writer and stylist. At the same time, I was employed as a Senior Fashion Lecturer at Whitehouse Institute of Design Australia. My role was writing and develop course content as well as to lecture into the Bachelor of Design for Fashion Design, Interior Design and Styling and Creative Direction.

 

With a relocation to Melbourne, I continued with my academic career along with freelance work in creative direction, design, product development, fashion writing/editing, art curation along with production and event management. I launched a non-binary, vegan, sustainable, slow fashion label under my own name whilst completing a master's degree in Design. 

 

Several years employed at The Masters Institute of Creative Education and Holmes Fashion, as the National Coordinator of the Upskill Department and Senior Fashion Lecturer. The Upskill Department specialises in non-accredited educational courses, across fashion, hair, makeup, and beauty. The delivery of these courses is both face to face and online. The Upskill Department has forty-three successful courses.  

 

I have now started, and plan to stay at LCI Melbourne as a Fashion and Costume Design Academic and Marketing Specialist. Along with my role at LCI Melbourne, I am 

a freelance creative director, fashion writer/editor and event professional, I have numerous local and international clients that I consult to across multiple industry practices and procedures. 

 

I have represented the fashion press with full media accreditation and coverage at all Australian fashion festivals since 2013 along with full media accreditation and coverage at Milan Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Madrid Fashion Week and I am an ambassador for the Fashinnovation the world fashion talks at New York fashion week. I was selected for this ambassadorship due to my support and contribution to the development of non-animal derived fashion products.
