The Melbourne City Town Hall was packed to the rafters with Melbourne’s fashion curious who witnessed boundary-pushing collections created by talented students from Melbourne’s top design schools – RMIT University, Holmesglen Institute, Box Hill Institute, The Masters Institute of Creative Education and Kangan Institute. This year, the runway extended beyond Australia and also featured pieces by students from Ueda College of Fashion, located in Melbourne’s sister city, Osaka.

The winner of the M/FW Student Award and the Specsavers Young Innovator Design Competition was also announced with Box Hill Institute taking home the big gong. The evening was beautifully hosted by Candice Wyatt whose enthusiasm for the emerging designer runway was encouraging and infectious. Melbourne My Style would like to treat you to our favourite looks from last night’s Melbourne Fashion Week student runway.
